The Donovan Orgy

Around 11:50 PM every weekday, girls residing in Donovan Hall partake in a synchronized, full-on make-out session with their departing boyfriends. Due to the number of couples partaking in passionate goodbyes, innocent onlookers often confuse this with an intentional act of unrestrained communal sensuality, an acts some call: The Donovan Orgy.

Donovan Hall’s visitation hours end at midnight, minus the weekends. It is virtually impossible to overcome the system and girls tend to abide the rules. Come fifteen minutes past midnight, the couches, chairs, and any open surface in the lobby becomes fair game for a couple participating in nightly goodbyes. Public displays of swapping spit, fondling, and romantic caressing unfurls as pleasure seekers enjoy some hurried, kinky goodbyes. As many as fifteen couples in one setting have joined The Donovan Orgy.

Innocent bystanders, who wish to stay anonymous, state that they tend to avoid the lobby during this time. One such resident jokes that she is afraid of catching an STD if she inhales. A likewise anonymous residence advisor who often works the desk during this time period states that she tends to look the other way, but can still hear the smacks and slurps of steamy kissing.

Other residents aren’t thrilled with the orgy either. “It’s just another reminder that I’m single: seeing multiple couples make-out in the lobby as I return from the library…” stated a freshman. “There’s always a parking garage, or an abandoned car lot—why not engage in some racy romance there?”

Among others affected, a sophomore resident with a boyfriend, who obeys the curfew, believes the misinterpretation of an orgy is fueled by jealously.

One of the resident who actually enjoys making out with her boyfriend before afterhours thinks haters are intimidated by the public display of passion. One girl states that if the visitation hours were lifted, this wouldn’t be an issue.

Yay or nay, The Donovan Orgy is a topic that literally has many tongues wagging.
